Warren S. Bean, Ph.D, a licensed psychologist, has been practicing psychotherapy in Santa Rosa since 1989. He has worked at the Family Practice Center at Sutter Hospital, Alexander Valley Healthcare in Cloverdale, and the Counseling and Psychological Services at Sonoma State University. Dr Bean was on the UCSF clinical faculty for the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency, and was a consulting psychologist for Social Advocates for Youth in Santa Rosa. His psychotherapy practice has focused on treating patients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, phobias, chronic pain, chronic medical conditions, and substance abuse. His work combines elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, brief strategic therapy, self hypnosis training, and narrative therapy.
Dr. Bean earned his Ph.D. In Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, and his M.Ed. In Counseling and Consulting Psychology from Harvard University. His doctoral training included an internships at the Worcester Youth Guidance Center and community mental health centers in Springfield and Greenfield Massachusetts. His post doctoral internship was at the Family Practice Center of Community Hospital, Santa Rosa.
