Yonat Piva is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) who brings a lifetime of deepening self-awareness to her practice as a therapist, educator and mother. Yonat holds a master’s degree in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and has professional training in music, massage, yoga, mindfulness meditation, wilderness rites of passage and Jungian therapy modalities. She specializes in postpartum and maternal mental health, recovery from eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, anxiety and trauma.
Her refined skill as a group facilitator and therapist is founded on considering the physiological aspects of trauma on the nervous system and it’s development through the life cycle. She brings heartfelt empathy and a passionate, candid voice to nurture honest self-exploration. Yonat’s work centers on accessing the powerful allies we have in our own bodies, breath and the natural world as we find grounding, presence, expression and wholeness in our lives.
